Fees

Lucinda's fees are $150 per fifty minute session. The sliding scale is full at this time.

Please note that I require 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment, except in case of serious sickness or emergency. Otherwise, the full fee will be charged.

The fee is to be paid at the beginning or the end of each 50 minute session by cash, cheque, or e-transfer.

Framework

Therapy may involve discussing difficult life experiences and emotions. The therapist will offer a supportive and empathic listening environment for the client to explore thoughts and feelings. While the therapist may help the client to gain understanding and awareness about thoughts and patterns of behaviour, she will not attempt to solve problems for the client. Instead, she will empower them to come to their own decisions about what is right for their life.

The client is free to ask questions at anytime and to let the therapist know about any issues which may arise. The therapist will meet client concerns with an open and understanding attitude.

A positive benefit is not guaranteed in treatment and the therapist will refer the client to another therapist if they wish.

The client can stop therapy at any time, although the therapist gently recommends a final session to have appropriate closure and to make a referral if necessary.

Policies

Confidentiality

All information regarding sessions (verbal and written), will remain confidential except under the following circumstances:

o   If the client indicates that they may be a danger to themselves or others

o   In the case of an apparent or suspected sexual abuse of a minor under 16.

o   In the case of abuse reported about a regulated health professional

o   In clinical supervision sessions between the supervisor and the therapist

Lucinda is under clinical supervision and may discuss the client's case with an experienced supervisor who is also bound by legal requirements for confidentiality.

If the client sees the therapist outside of the therapy office, the therapist will not initiate contact with them to maintain their confidentiality. Rather, the therapist will allow them to make contact if they so choose
